FAQs

  • Session fees are disclosed in full before we begin working together. You will never be surprised by a cost. Please reach out directly for current rates and I'll be happy to share them. Superbills are provided upon request so you can seek reimbursement from your insurance provider if you have out-of-network benefits.

    Sessions range from $200-300.

  • Open Door Therapy is an out of network provider, which means I don’t take insurance directly. However, many clients are able to get partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. Here are the questions to ask your insurer before we begin:

    1. Does my plan cover out-of-network mental health services, specifically for outpatient psychotherapy and telehealth visits?

    2. What is my out-of-network deductible for mental health services, and how much of it remains to be met?

    3. What percentage of the allowed amount does my plan reimburse for out-of-network psychotherapy (CPT code 90834 for individual therapy and 90847 for couple’s therapy)

    4. Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered per year?

You have a right to never be surprised by the cost of your therapy session! All costs are disclosed ahead of time.

  • There is a 48 hour cancellation policy. Each time a client cancels, no shows, or reschedules at the last minute, another patient is prevented from receiving care at that time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with serving everyone fairly!

  • Open Door Therapy is an entirely virtual practice. You will be given a HIPAA compliant video link before the start of treatment.

  • Reach out by email or text to schedule a free 15 to 20 minute phone consultation (listed on the contact page). From there we'll figure out next steps together. There's no commitment required from that first call.

  • Please call 911 or 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or visit your local hospital.
